One Way Youth Vision

1.   Desire & Hunger for God: We always want our Desire and Hunger for God, both in leaders and students, to be continuously growing  in our youth ministry.

a.   Prayer: We need to have a strong prayer life in order to allow the Holy Spirit to work in us to help this desire grow.

2.  Involvement: We want to see our young people involved in the operation of our youth ministry. Every person needs to feel that they are wanted, needed, and that they have a place of belonging.

3.   Unity: In a World where it is every man for himself, We must set an example of unity. Unity between leaders, between leaders & students, and between students. In order for us all to grow closer to each other, we must have #1, that desire for the things of God.

(Our ministry can only measure up to its leadership.)

4.   An atmosphere of excitement for the Lord:

a.   To make this atmosphere enjoyable, fun, full of ideas, changing, and growing.

b.   For our youth ministry to be a place of healing.

c.   A place you can’t wait to get back to.

5.   Protection & Respect:  We must protect students prayerfully. We must be careful of bad influences and we must hold a high standard. Students need to know what is acceptable and unacceptable for One Way Youth events. Sometimes leaders have to do what is best for the whole group of students. We must be respectful to the parents; parents need to know we are protecting their student and being a Godly example for them. We must hold ourselves to that high standard that God gives us when we are called to lead.

6.   Friendship & LOVE: We are their leaders and also we are to be their friends. We all need love -- God's Love!  His love is in us, we must have a desire to share that Love with a sincere and honest heart. What better way is there to build a friendship than for a person to know that you genuinely love and care for them.
